Our Ayurvedic Shampoo Bar is made with herbs and essential oils commonly used in Ayurveda, a traditional system of Indian health-care. These ingredients work together to cleanse and nourish the hair and scalp, promoting healthy hair growth and preventing common hair issues such as dandruff and breakage. These bars have a strong herbal & spicy aroma.

One of the key ingredients in the Ayurvedic Shampoo Bar is shikakai, a fruit native to India that has been used for centuries as a natural hair cleanser. Shikakai is rich in vitamins and minerals that strengthen the hair follicles, while also gently removing dirt and impurities from the scalp.

Other ingredients include amla, bhringraj, and neem, all of which have their own unique benefits for the hair and scalp. Amla is rich in vitamin C and antioxidants, which help to prevent hair damage and promote healthy hair growth. Bhringraj is known for its ability to improve hair texture and prevent premature greying, while neem has antibacterial properties that help to keep the scalp clean and healthy.

Besides the obvious abandonment of of plastic bottles (hooray for the planet), all of our bars use only natural, good ingredients. Free from parabens, SLS, ALS & SLES, silicones, mineral oils, synthetic colourants, fragrances or nasties. They are PH balanced, Biodegradable and colour safe. Locally made in small batches & Hand-pressed. Not tested on animals (we are not savages) and go a LOT further than your regular standard size shampoo & conditioner (1 x 60g bar is equivalent to approximately 3 bottles of shampoo) Super convenient & space saving for travellers & hikers. Infused with essential oils and botanical extracts. 

Directions: 

Wet both the bar & your hair (make sure your hair is very wet). Directly apply the bar to your hair, in gentle circular motions. Massage the head as normal to create a rich foamy lather. Rinse thoroughly. For best results follow with conditioner bar.

tips:

Allowed bars to dry between use (for best results and longevity). Store on a soap-dish with effective drainage & keep away from spraying water while not in use. For travel , gently pat the bar/s dry with a towel (to minimise excess water) before storage.
